Comparing ColdFusion and ASP.NET

Just wanted to let everyone know I will be starting a series of weekly posts on comparing ColdFusion and ASP.NET.  Comparing may not be the best word for it, as I will be showing code snippets in Coldusion and then showing code in ASP.NET that accomplishes the same task.  I am by no means an expert in .NET.  I've been playing around with it for a year or so now, but I thought some folks who are starting to dabble in it could benefit from a little comparison of code.
