Twitter is Down

twitter_logoTwitter seems to be experiencing a rather massive outage this morning.  The social media site has been down for around an hour and a half.  There is no word on what the issue is or when it will be resolved.  Twitter’s official status blog states they are looking into the issue: Twitter Status

  1. Yeah I noticed this today, funny that Facebook has been REALLY slow from here was well, almost inaccessible, one wonders if someone’s staging a huge DOS attack or something.

  2. TechCrunch and GigaOm are reporting it is a coordinated DDoS attack.

  3. It was a DDos attack, and it seems that Twitter has resolved the situation. Although the API still seems to be lagging quite a bit.
